  • Day use from Scallop Cove Bait and Tackle dock? See below options, and when you get to Cape San Blas, come to Scallop Cove Bait and Tackle and we will get you set up. Currently no reservations, so first come first serve at this location.
  • Rent for a day or up to a week at your house? Half of our fleet is available to be reserved for an entire week. You must pick it up on Sunday and be returned on Sat. We do not do deliveries, so keep that in mind. The other half the fleet is available for walk ups. Walk ups can be rented anywhere from half day up to a week.

Leave No Trace Advisory and Beach Rules

Please be aware of this ordinance.  If the equipment you are renting is removed because of failure to adhere to this ordinance, you will be charged for new equipment.

In order to protect our shoreline, provide a healthy habitat for nesting sea turtles, preserve our pristine environment and assure all residents and visitors can enjoy our wonderful beaches, Gulf County has enacted a Leave No Trace ordinance that regulate the following:

  • All unattended personal items (chairs, tents, toys, kayaks, etc.) must be removed daily from the beach no later that one hour after published time of sunset and can be placed back on beach after sunrise the following day. Items left on the beach will be considered abandoned and subject to removal by County Staff. Once removed from the beach, items will no be returned.
  • All holes created must be filled in prior to leaving the beach each day.
  • Overnight camping must not be within 400 feet of any waterfront residence.
  • Glass bottles, containers, etc are prohibited on Gulf County beaches.
  • Bonfires are permissible, but must not be within 100 feet of any structure and all remnants must be extinguished and removed from the beach that same day. All items other than natural wood are prohibited from burning (i.e. - pallets, wood with screws or nails, pressure-treated wood, etc.)
  • All trash must be removed from the beach.
  • Per Gulf County Ordinance 2008-20, pets must be on leashes at all times.
  • Beach driving is permitted with a valid Beach Driving Permit which can be obtained at the Gulf County Tax Collectors office Mon-Fri 9:00am-5:00pm.
